B-1 Tournament: Reserve Match [B-1 TM-6]
Mizuki Hanaoka, the winner of the 4th match of the tournament, was injured during her victory and was unable to continue in the tournament. Battle, the company organising the tournament, decided to bring 2 new talents to fight for that empty spot in the semifinal. The choices for this match were Nozomi Sugioka (170 cm, grey) and a then-promising talent, Chiharu Nakai (151 cm, white).
In the early moments of the match, Nozomi gains control thanks to her long legs and tossing Chiharu through the ring with several Hiptoss. A tight Sleeper and a Figure 4 Headscissors establish even more Nozomi's dominance, until an illegal bite from Chiharu puts her in control and able to deliver a Persian Carpet Rider hold. Chiharu focuses on Nozomi's back and works over this part of her opponent's body with a Chinlock and a Bow and Arrow.
With no referee to enforce the rules, Nozomi finds her way out of the hold with another illegal bite and regains control with a couple of different holds, such as a Full Nelson and a Waistscissors. A brutal Headscissors keeps softening Chiharu, and Nozomi decides to go more aggressive, punishing her opponent against the turnbuckles with several kicks and a choking move.
The duo trade a few throws and pin attempts, until one beauty seizes control and stretches for a good amount of time the legs of her opponent before locking a deadly Figure 4 Leglock. Who claims the empty spot in the semifinals and who ends up crying on the mat? Get this one to find out!
P.S.: You can see more of Chiharu Nakai a couple of years after this match in SSSGP III.
