B-1 Tournament: 4th Match [B-1 TM-4]

The last match of the first round presents a similar matchup to the previous one. Mizuki Hanaoka (170 cm, orange) apparently has an advantage against the small Akina Kitaoka (155 cm, blue), an expert grappler.

It's no surprise that Mizuki wins the initial Test of Strength, and it is equally unsurprising to see her applying a Single Crab and a Chinlock on her opponent. A quick pin attempt is thwarted at the last moment when Mizuki was already savouring a too-easy victory. Frustrated, she proceeds to soften Akina with a long choke hold, but it's not wise to go near the canvas when your foe is an expert grappler. In a matter of seconds, Akina takes control with a Cross Armbar.

Mizuki tries to fight her way out of the hold, and every escape attempt infuriates Akina more, who answers back, applying more pressure on that arm. A Figure 4 Headscissors gives Akina time to punish her opponent and gain some air and stamina in the process, although it does not last much as Mizuki retaliates with a Persian Carpet Rider hold.

From this point until the very end, girls find choking holds as a shortcut to victory, and so it does when one ends up knocked out and unable to continue the match. The winner decides to extend her celebration a bit more with a very long pinfall pose over her motionless opponent.
